Sideways is a character from Transformers Cybertron and is a minor antagonist of the opening two-parter of Knights of the Multiverse Season 2. He serves as the enforcer to Emperor Starscream alongside his longtime compatriot Sideways in their own pocket dimension known only as Planet X.
Personality[]
He is known by many names, though Soundwave is his most well-known one, and the one that inspires fear in friend and foe alike. One of the mightiest, most straightforward warriors from Planet X, Soundwave is nonetheless a devastatingly subtle plotter. He prefers not to stab his victims in the back, putting on the persona of a radio DJ to give off a laid-back and friendly persona, only because he enjoys seeing the look of betrayal in their eyes. Highly skilled in the techniques of espionage, he never enters battle without the knowledge he needs to win.

Soundwave's guitar is (obviously) borrowed from the character's Animated incarnation, where both Laserbeak and Ratbat turned into axes for him to use, included so as to play more into the music-loving side of this incarnation of the character. Of course, it's not explicitly said whether or not this is actually a new form for the real Cybertron Laserbeak.
