This page is a footnote, created to explain the science/supernatural phenomena/small details seen throughout the series, The Knights of the Multiverse

The page contains the basics on the scientific elements (mainly the energy sources and technology) shown in The Knights of the Multiverse

Energy Sources[]

Photonic Energy[]

Photon Atomic Energy (or Photonic Energy for short) is an energy source found primarily on Earth Prime. It was created from the material Japanium (an alloy stronger and more durable than steel that originated from a meteor that collided into Mt. Fuji many years ago) and other unknown minerals. It is much cleaner than nuclear power, giving off no sort of pollution whatsoever and even supplying .

Thanks to the dedication of the staff of the old Photon Labs and the New Photon/Saotome Labs, it has been made into the primary source of energy for all electric and mechanical-based devices on Earth Prime, now used to power things as small as watches to cars and even entire cities around the world. It is also the primary power source for all Robots created in this universe, both Droids and Mecha.

Getter Rays[]

Getter Rays are essentially Earth Prime's form of nuclear radiation, typically green in color. They act as a boundless energy source that can be harvested to power complex machines, much like Photonic Energy. Unlike Photon Power though, Getter Energy is a much more supernatural-like force that can cause a type of metamorphosis that changes the appearance, principles and powers of both machines and living things. The best examples of this being them creating Flora from a simple plant or evolving Getter Robo G in Shin Getter Dragon. As long as Getter Rays exist in the universe, whatever is powered by them never runs out (this was the primary reason why the Getter Robo robot was originally designed for space travel).

However, it also presents a number of hazardous risks. In a controlled environment, such as the amount stored inside of a Getter Robo unit, they're relatively harmless, but an overload or massive amount of it (or even a Getter Robo crushing its core while still connected to the robot's main systems) can cause large-scale destruction, capable of destroying an entire city in seconds. Because of this, many measures have been taken to prevent meltdowns of radiation by limiting its use to the Getter Robo units. All other research and use of them has been banned and deemed illegal (this is subsequently why the original Saotome Institute was shut down shortly after the Imperial Wars).

Getter Alloy[]

Getter Alloy is the special metal used to create the Getter Robos. Since Getter Rays cause metal to chip away, the Getters were made with a special shape memory alloy that reacts to Getter Energy and also allows the Getter's transformation abilities.

Plasma Energy[]

Plasma Energy was the first type of clean, new energy developed for robots, both Mech and Android. But, when Photon Power was introduced, it was completely discarded.

Mecha Technology[]

In General[]

All giant robots are referred to as "Mechs/Mechas" on Earth Prime. though can be referred to by other terms, like how the Gundam Wing characters refer to them as "Mobile Suits".

Basic Piloting Systems[]

Most mechas can be piloted by similarly to a car, fighter plane or even a motorcycle (like Mazinger Z's controls).
