"Race Against the Clock! The Metal Racers!" is the twentieth episode of Knights of the Multiverse Season 1. The Knights are sent to investigate reports of the Renegades attempting to foil a race between humans and Droids and must subsequently try to keep the racers safe, leading to a run-in with a rather special brother-sister duo and another hero of the past.

This episode is mainly based off of the Astro Boy chapter "The White Planet" and its reinterpretation in the 1980 anime. Though there are some changes to the story, mainly in Koichi & Mitsuko's characterizations in this series and the race being a lot less crazy than it was in the original story (at least how it appeared in the second anime's interpretation). Plus, there's more than one hero helping to stop the villains of the episode from interfering in the race.
The racing aspect for this episode also helps to work in a Kotetsu Jeeg spotlight episode, with it being Hiroshi's main profession and all.
