Kazuya Ryuzaki is a character from Tosho Daimos and is a major reoccuring character introduced in the first season of The Knights of the Multiverse. He's a world famous martial artist and is the pilot of the mecha Daimos and, after rekindling his old bonds with his old Allied Robot Corps teammates, sometimes steps in to aid them in their battles throughout the series. He's also the proud adoptive father of the "fire-type" Droid Agnes.

Personality[]

Kazuya is an idealistic man fighting for love, and in lighthearted situations, acts as a relaxed friend that and an inspiring brotherly figure to his younger friends. He's easily the most compassionate member of the former ARC team, preferring diplomacy and words before actions, is always willing to see the good in all living beings. He's also a very strong believer in "The Power of Love", with his love for his wife Erika and his adoptive robotic daughter being the main source of his willpower. However, like most good-hearted heroes, Kazuya's breaking point comes when any innocents come to harm, especially when they're discriminated under false pretenses (his relationship with Erika gave him plenty of experience with that), and when pushed too far, he'll go into a blind rampage and will beat his opponent down without mercy.

History[]

Pre-Series[]

The ARC[]

Family Life[]

About six~seven years after the end of the Imperial Wars, Kazuya was out one day when he noticed what looked like a teenage girl stealing a handful of old power cells. He quickly gave chase, and as she cornered the young girl, she fought back; but during, the girl seemed to blast small bursts of fire from her fists, which seemed to scare her. Noticing this, Kazuya asked the young girl her story: she was an android simply called "A-1", and only stole the cells because her Power Core was so low on energy. Taking pity for the young Droid, the karate master/Mecha pilot offered the girl a place to stay at his home, since it was far enough out of reach of anyone from the Science Faculty, keeping it secret from anyone, even Koji. There, he decided to give her the name Agnes (since it just seemed really cute) and helped to train her to better contorl her powers, growing close for the next several years.

Abilities & Equipment[]

  • Martial Arts

Kazuya is regarded as the greatest martial artist on Earth Prime, and he easily shows how he earned his black belt. He can cut down and shatter weapons with just his bare hands (even translating to Daimos's "Reppu Seikenzuki" where in one punch, he can pierce through an opponent in one blow).

Relationships[]

Allied Robot Corps[]

Erika[]

Erika is Kazuya's wife, and is his main morale booster.

Agnes[]

As his adoptive daughter, Agnes is the second most important people in Kazuya's life. After protecting and raising them for more than eight years, he will immediately drop everything to rush to one of their defenses. He was also very dedicated to helping her gain control of her powers, applying some of the skills he's learned through his martial arts training to help her. However, he also knows that she can't stay with him forever, and knew that she could use her powers better by helping fight off the forces of evil like he and his friends had long ago.

Notes[]

Kazuya being the father of one of the show's main cast is mostly to act as a way to both tie him a little closer to the main plot and mostly serves as a way to explain why Agnes has such good control over her powers (plus, out of all the 70's Mecha pilots that are featured in this series, outside of the Mazinger pilots, he does seem like the one most likely to become a family man). An original plan for the series involved Agnes meeting him later on and then he'd help her control her powers, but this seemed like a better way to cut out the middle man.
