Kazumi Amano is a character from Aim for the Top: Gunbuster and is a major character in The Knights of the Multiverse, introduced in Season 2.. She's the pilot of the VF-1S Giselle (later upgraded to the Strike Giselle) and the powerful Shin Getter Robo, alongside her classmate Noriko Takaya.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Being the best student in her class, Kazumi was the best at what she did, being at peak physical ability and top-notch piloting skills, and always wanting the best of the best. This status can sometimes make her come off as uptight & mean, as seen with how many times she was against Noriko being assigned to missions and suggested someone else take her place. It's not that she wants to be mean, in fact, she's actually shown to be very kind and supportive under the right circumstances; its just that she always wants things as effective as they should be, whether it be team efficiency or training, and sometimes means that she can be a little... too direct.

Notes[edit | edit source]

To help the parallel to Ruri's role in KotM being inspired by Go from Getter Robo Armageddon a bit better, Noriko and Kazumi's role in the series is inspired by Go's teammates Kei and Gai, with Kazumi taking Kei's role of the leader-like figure of the trio that's always looking to become stronger but has her own baggage.
