Iron Sand is a character from Machine Robo: Revenge of Chronos and is a minor antagonist in Knights of the Multiverse Season 1. He's a rather large Droid created by L.O.S.R. that is made out of a special metallic sand and was created to battle their enemies.
Personality[]
Though he's capable of basic thinking and speech like any other Droid, Iron Sand doesn't really say much, only presenting himself as a thug that simply does as he's told and fight whoever he's ordered to fight.

- Sand-to-Iron Conversion
As his name would suggest, Iron Sand's main ability is being able to use the metallic sand that makes up his body and change it from iron to sand any time he chooses, allowing himself to disappear into the sand he stands upon to avoid attacks. He can even dissolve parts of his body to allow charging enemies to pass right through him.
- Electromagnetic Ray
Iron Sand is able to fire electromagnetic beams from his hands to paralyze his enemies.
- Double Sword
Iron Sand is able to convert his hands into razor-sharp, hook-like blades.
Notes[]
In the original Machine Robo, Iron Sand appeared to be the same height as the series' main robot, Baikanfu, which stood at 5.76 meters. KotM takes this his default size and makes him one of the more unique foes for the Knights to face size wise, as his height means a battle against one of the group's Super Robots would be somewhat awkward, leaving him to be one of the bigger Droids they have to fight against. He's also still considered a Droid and not a Super Robot due to said size.
In the original Machine Robo, Iron Sand could fuse with the other main villain of his showcase episode Bug Newman. This version of the character does away with that ability, mostly since Bug isn't featured in this series (though his plot line from the episode is reused in IS's episode in this series as another Atros vs Usagi plot) & to make him more of an independent character.
