The Green Ogre is a character from Casshern Sins and is a minor antagonist in Knights of the Multiverse Season 1. It is a robot created by Dr. Akamashi made to resemble a large ogre with green skin and a rather rotund gut, created only to fight the enemies of the L.O.S.R. organization.

Personality[]

The Green Orge has a very baseline level of A.I., only "speaking" in grunts & gutteral screams and acting rather brutish & sluggish: though this kind of behavior is rather befitting for a robot made to look like a monster and being driven to only slaughter its enemies.

History[]

Season 1[]

Abilities & Weapons[]

  • Enhanced Strength
  • Enhanced Speed

For his large size, the Orge is able to move very fast and was able to react quickly to the Knights' attacks and counter.

  • Blade Arm

The Orge's left arm, rather than being covered in artificial skin, is actually entirely mechanical and has a large sword blade in place of a hand.

Notes[]

The Green Ogre was included mainly to act as the monster-of-the-week that exists only to fight and be destroyed in Ana & Yuna's introductory episode, fitting with how many mythic-like monsters the cast of Murder Princess had to deal with. It also acts as a bit more justification as to why this robot looks the way it does, whereas it was sort of strange that a robot looking like an ogre was just hanging around the rather bleak & morbid world of Casshern Sins.

The Ogre's depiction here plays a little more with its monsterous appearance a bit more, with it acting as a generic monster rather than having a personality that had a strong sense of loyalty and duty to other Robots like in the original.

  • It also didn't actually have a real name in the show either, with the name "Green Ogre" coming from the official Anime News Network's page on the series while listing of the characters and their actors.
  • Its depiction in this series also tweaks with the Orge's character model a little, mainly in replacing the busted arm it had caused by "the Ruin" in the original by giving it the blade it simply wielded in its hand.
