Gigantis is the main robot of Space Runaway Ideon (just under a different name) and is an enormous Super Robot that serves as the final boss of Knights of the Multiverse Season 1. It was created by the League of Scientific Renegades as their final step towards world domination and the destruction of the Crystal Knights.
History[]
Season 1[]
Abilities[]
- Movement Control System
Gigantis's control system is based off of how the L.O.S.R. staff theorized Raideen's operating system works, with the main pilot being hooked up to a system that connects to their limbs, allowing them to have full control over the robot's movements, with a large number of technicians working on calibrating/checking the main systems.
- Weapon Control System
Located behind the dome on Gigantis's stomach lays the control system for its weapons, which connect directly to Cynthia's Black Box and fire whenever she wills it. The organization had originally planned to "convince" her to connect to it willingly, but after she was "taken" by the other traitorous Droids that left to join the Knights, he hooked her up to it by force, including inputting a "kill switch" function that would scramble her circuits & cause her to either shut down or explode if she didn't comply (he wasn't positive which one would occur, but he figured that either result would get his point across).
- Glenn Cannon
The Glenn Cannons are twin-barreled Photon beam cannons located on Gigantis's torso.
- Photon Cannon Silos
Gigantis has several Photon laser cannon silos located practically all over its body (one in its waist, two in each shoulder, two in the legs, two in each wrist, & two in its abdomen), each capable of piercing through dozens of starships. With enough power, it can fire every cannon at once, attacking enemies in every direction.
- Gigantis Sword
The Gigantis Sword is a beam of pure Photon energy emitted from each of Gigantis's hands.

Notes[]
Gigantis gets its name from Ideon's appearance in the Space Runaway Ideon/Gundam crossover, Mobile Suit Vs. Giant God of Legend: Gigantis's Counterattack, mostly so it can be a little more independent from the original.
In the original Space Runaway Ideon, the Ideon was powered by the Ide, a mysterious, ancient energy source that seemingly had a mind of its own. In KotM, Gigantis's powers are slightly toned down and is simply powered by a Photon power Core. However, it is still treated with just as much dread and terror as it did in the original Ideon series, made all the worst now that it acts against the main characters rather than (seemingly) being on their side like Ideon was.
- This and the name change are mostly to make it a little more clear to the audience that knows about the orignal anime that this is not meant to be a stand-in or whatnot of the real Ideon in any way. The real Giant of Ide is out in its own universe doing its... "thing".
The "Photon Beam Barrage" was actually a collection of missile silos in the original series. It was changed to Photon Beam cannons as a throwaway detail to explain why it has so many and to ramp up the already very dangerous presence it has.
