The FA-010A FAZZ (pronounced as "fahts") is a mobile suit that appears in Gundam Sentinel and is a Mobile Suit featured in Knights of the Multiverse Season 2. Based off of plans meant for a Mobile Suit based off of the Zeta Gundam, these plans would be taken by Axis Zeon and used for their personal use. Three FAZZ units were created in total for use in a heavy fire support role.
History[]
Season 1[]
Armaments[]
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
A pair of shell-firing weapon built into the head.
- Missile Launcher
The FAZZ has a series of missile launchers mounted in its chest, shoulders, backpack and left forearm, enabling it to bombard its targets.
- Back Beam Cannon
The FAZZ is equipped with a pair of back beam cannons that offer close to mid-range defenses. They were originally designed to act as hyper beam sabers, but they only serve as beam cannons.
- Double Beam Rifle
The FAZZ is equipped with a double beam rifle, where both barrels emit beams with power ratings of 10.6 MW for a combined total of 21.2 MW.
- Hyper Mega Cannon
The FAZZ is equipped with a hyper mega cannon, a massive handheld weapon that is as long as the mobile suit is tall and connects directly to the FAZZ's power generator through a connector in the backpack. The beam required about 3 seconds to travel about a ten thousand-kilometer distance. The cannon can immediately fire its next shot after confirming a miss, but it will overheat in about 10 shots; the pilot can still fire the beam, but there is about a 90% chance of damaging the cannon itself at that point. The chance is calculated by the on board computer and will be displayed as a warning on the screen. The immense power of this beam makes it the most powerful mobile suit weapon Zeon produced.
Notes[]
Keen eyes will notice quickly that the FAZZ bares a striking resemblance to the titular Mobile Suit of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. This is because, in canon, it was meant to be a testbed unit designed to test out several of the features that would be put into the design of the FA-010S Full Armor ZZ Gundam (heck, like the Re-GZ, its name is an anogram for its name). It was included in KotM as since this story does away with ZZ, this felt like a way to at least include the design for it in some way while also shouting out a relatively unknown manga story (in the west, at least).
