Earth-chan is a character from Concrete Revolutio and is a minor character in The Knights of the Multiverse, introduced in Season 1. She's an Droid that was originally just a civilian-type, but after being nearly destroyed, she was converted into a Battle-Type 'droid by Dr. Judas. However, she managed to escape her dark future - while managing to help free a couple other Droids that were to meet a similar fate - and made a new home in an old rundown city populated by discarded robots, where she became a sort of hero to them, protecting the "townspeople" from invaders, though she and the others would soon be taken in to find a proper home with the Crystal Knights

Personality[]

Earth-chan believes in righteousness above all else. She possesses a very strong sense of duty, honor, and loyalty, though this burning justice within her heart can make her inflexible and stubborn at times. Being online for not too long & originally being programmed to only behave like a child, she subscribes to extreme black and white morality with a strong drive to fight .

This attitude all stems from her pushing herself towards an unrealistic idea of perfection due to past traumas and the obsession of making a "perfect hero". She's of the belief that any "evil" emotion like anger and even little white lies is a willful embrace of evil, and results in her coming to hasty conclusions about who is in the right and taking actions which solve the immediate situation but don't actually address the underlying problem. When she joined the team, this put her at odds with her new teammates, with conflicts arising with several of them over her behavior.

But underneath her tough, heroic armor, Earth-chan is still a child. While she is dedicated to the hero cause, she does miss having a home to go back to. While she can be "strict" on her views, and she does occasionally show with her struggles of dealing with how conflicting "good" and "evil" emotions are, she does act genuinely happy when someone turns back from the dark side. And while the process was slow going at first, her time with the team overtime helped her understand the idea that people being able to change, realizing that everyone - human and robot alike - has their flaws but their positivity always shines through in the end.

Abilities & Weapons[]

  • Advanced Sensors

Earth-chan has a pair of satellite-type sensors shaped in the form of magenta petal-like plates on her headband, which can detect whenever someone is crying out for help from the bottom of their heart, allowing her to immediately come to the rescue.

  • Flight

Earth-chan flies/floats via a set of rocket boosters built into her feet.

  • Sabres

Earth-chan has a pair of retractable blades that act similarly to fencing swords. They're strong enough to block/deflect other bladed weaponry and cut/slice through most material surfaces.

Notes[]

While Earth-chan's original counterpart was inspired by Astro Boy, her story in KotM is actually meant to be a twist on the story of another robot "hero"; one of Astro's frequent rivals, the Blue Knight, with her originally being a simple civilian-type Droid that was converted into a fighter with the death of her family (which is a KotM-original idea, as they only appeared in a dream sequence in the original Con Revo) being the main motivator for her to be a hero, and acts as the main reason for why she has such a jaded view on good and evil in this version of her story (though Earth-chan is a lot more heroic and less anti-heroic than the Blue Knight is); although certain instances of her story are also similar to Mega Man's Quint (though obviously, not as lame). This is combined with her motive in the original Con Revo to respond to anyone who feels a pure desire for help with a bit of influence from Brave Police J-Decker's Duke Fire with wanting to be a perfect "hero" and initially rejecting any "evil" emotions, though learns their value as time goes on. Ironically though, she's the only Droid character in the cast that had the desire to be perfect at something; a trait that is actually shown in her interactions with the team.

Earth-chan Original Design

Earth-chan's original design. along with her original Satellite mode.

In the original Con Revo, Earth-chan could transform into a satellite with her head and arms still poking out as she would float in the atmosphere to detect the next person who needed her help, sort of like Superman taken to an extreme. In KotM, her satellite transformation was swapped out for a more Magical Girl-style transformation, with her being able to transform into a "human" form that only appeared in a dream sequence, both to make this version of the character a little more different from the original interpretation and as another way to parallel her to Usagi. She would also fly via a set of rings of light, but since it seemed a little too alien-like, she simply flies via the traditional rocket feet boosters. She also has the outfit she gains in Season 2 of her home series since it helps to better represent her personality than the brighter colors of her first design.
