The AMX-004R Bertigo is a robot from After War Gundam X and is a Mobile Suit featured in Knights of the Multiverse Season 2. Based off of Haman Karn's own Qubeley, it was created by Axis Zeon and was used as the basis for the Mass-Produced Qubeleys. It was also the first mobile suit piloted by Elpeo Puru, and would later be rebuilt into the Gundam Nouvelle.
History
Season 2
- Vulcan Cannons
The Bertigo features two upper torso mounted machine cannons.
- Internal Beam Rifle
The Bertigo has a beam rifle mounted in the tip of each of it's huge forearm armor.
- Beam Saber
The Bertigo has two beam sabers, both of which are stored in each of the unit's forearms and held in hand when in use.
- Funnels
The Bertigo is equipped with 12 funnel bits stored in the unit's arms when not in use. These small remote controlled flying beam guns can easily overwhelm most opponents when used en masse, and can function even under Earth's gravity. When using them, a huge mono-eye appears on the Bertigo's chest.
Notes
The "R" in the Bertigo's designation is meant to be a nod to its original designation of "RMSN-008". And of course, it's main designation has been changed to "004" to reflect how, rather than simply being a homage to the original Qubeley, now it is made blatant that this version of the Mobile Suit is based directly off of it.
The Bertigo is meant to take the place of Puru's original Mobile Suit, the AMX-004 Qubeley Mk-II, and while the Mk-II does appear in the Animated Shorts, the Bertigo's inclusiion is mostly to give her a more unique Mobile Suit to start out with than just an exact duplicate of Haman's suit.
