Acrobunch is the titular robot from Makyo Densetsu Acrobunch and is a Super Robot that appears in Knights of the Multiverse Season 1. Created by the evil organization L.O.S.R., he's designed to explore ancient ruins (no, seriously) and battle anyone that might interfere Unfortunately, he kind of hates his job, mostly due to his rather garish appearance.

Personality[]

Unlike other L.O.S.R. Super Robots, Acrobunch has very low self-esteem, to put it gently. He's very depressed and embarrassed by how he's probably the worst-designed robot ever built, with his frankly absurd appearance and rather generic weapons arsenal.

History[]

Animated Shorts[]

Short #4[]

Season 1[]

Abilities & Equipment[]

  • Solar Beam

Acrobunch has a blue laser that fires from the crest on his head.

  • Dual Drill Arms

A drill emerges from either of Acrobunch's wrists.

  • Finger Missiles

Rapid fire missiles launched from the fingers.

  • Atlantis Sword

Acrobunch is armed with a standard power sword (it's only referred to as the "Atlantis Sword" to make it sound unique).

Relationships[]

Crystal Knights[]

Acrobunch surprisingly found the organization's enemies to actually kind of nice, giving him comfort when he explained how much he hates his cumbersome appearance and saw some potential in his relatively mundane armaments. The ones he grew close to in particular Usagi, Mohm and Asuka Soryu, with the former two even giving him the nickname "Acro" and even offering him a spot on the team when they all got out of there.

Notes[]

Acrobunch's dour outlook on life given to him in this series is a play on his rather bizarre appearance even by Super Robot standards, especially in the context of his home series, which was essentially if Indiana Jones had a giant robot (which even then, is just a bizarre idea in of itself).

Acrobunch is surprisingly one of the shortest of Super Robots in its original series, coming up to 15.2 meters {doesn't exactly help the ego this series has given him much, does it?}.
